Jon first picked up a camera when he was thirteen. A Kodak Disc camera given to him by his my Mum and Dad. He has been hooked on photography ever since. This led to the acquisition of an SLR and then a life lived in pictures and the moving image. After leaving school he started working as a studio assistant at Click Studios in London where Jon was introduced to and worked for great photographers like Annie Leibovitz, Patrick Demarchelier, Tim Brett Day, Corinne Day and David Sims. From Click Jon moved on to the world of freelance assisting and then took the leap into his own world of Photography thanks to the help and belief of Lulu Anderson, then of The Saturday Telegraph Magazine. Jon now works for The Independent, The Observer, Der Spiegel, Intersection, Vanity Fair and various advertising clients.
Jon has also made several short films, the first of which, The Suzy Stratagem, was bought by Sky Movies and Soho Story which was nominated for the Time Out Best London Short Film Award. Along the way he worked with Film London on their Pulse Digital Shorts program. The result, The Mascot, which was written by Jack Thorne, was screened at the London Film Festival. Within film Jon works as a director and cinematographer.
